Our Mission

This mission statement will give you a good idea of the direction I feel led that this ministry must take. First, let me be clear that I never asked for nor wanted this ministry, and I really do not desire to stay in it permanently unless God directs me to do so or it’s just for general oversight. The only reason it was started was because of the Holy Spirit leading me to expose an abusive leader. I will also need to stay involved with the website construction and maintenance until a suitable replacement can be found.

My hope is to find elders for oversight with regard to every complaint that is filed. This board of elders, as we’ll call it, can be individuals from all walks of life, but they must be committed to relying upon the scriptures first and foremost, with much prayer and leading of the Spirit second. I would also like to see leaders within the body stand up and play a major part in bringing much-needed reform in this area of the body. They must have the ability to make fair and balanced decisions, as people’s lives are on the line. This board of elders may remain anonymous to the general public, but their identities must be known to each other, and they must be thoroughly vetted. They must also agree to keep the names and details of those whom claims have been filed private until a consensus has been made as to innocence or guilt. Before the names of any other leaders are made public, there must be a majority consensus as to the veracity of a claim, and all other avenues of reconciliation must be made with the local assembly where the leader serves. We must take every accusation of spiritual abuse seriously, as Christ will hold us accountable if we could have done something to protect someone and bring justice but we didn’t.

This cannot remain a one-man show, as there are far too many moving parts, so I will be seeking supporters to not only help fund the initial launch but also to step into day-to-day operations. I am in no way looking to profit from this ministry, and that should be evident by my not wanting to remain in it, but reality dictates that I cannot do it for free. I have bills to pay, and it’s not all my responsibility, so I would agree to a modest salary until it is operating smoothly and I can hand it off to a board of directors and a competent leader. I will also need to hire office staff to carry some of the load and to help establish routines and protocols.

Remember, this is a ministry of last resort to stop rogue and harmful leaders who are inflicting harm upon the body of Christ and bringing reproach upon His name. We will also be helping and motivating local assemblies to deal with these issues when they arise and even stop them before they start. Too many people are being harmed and left with no recourse when biblical protocols are not followed in the local church.

The following statement by the Apostle Paul sums up the intent of this ministry.

1 Timothy 5:20
As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all so that the rest may stand in fear.

This should be a mission that every lover of God, Christ, and neighbor should be able to get on board with regardless of denomination. It’s time we protect the downtrodden and abused! We must stand together to stop spiritual abuse!

If just 1500 people donate $100, we will be able to track these types of behaviors and prevent many others from being harmed across the nation! I’m asking you to get on board and support this endeavor with whatever you can afford! It is our duty to protect the flock when and wherever possible!

The intent of this ministry is NOT to focus on any sort of doctrinal differences, and the committee will be chaired by people from various denominations. The sole purpose of this ministry is to expose unrepentant leaders who are guilty of gross moral failure and spiritual abuse!

The estimated total needed to fund this ministry is $136k for the first year, which is peanuts when you consider how many people claim to be Christian in the US alone!

Annual marketing budget. ($25k yr)

Developer to help finish the website, as I’m a novice. ($10-20k first year only)

An assistant to do administrative work, investigative work, interviews, and write articles for web content and social media. ($35k yr)

A salary for myself, as I have bills as well, and it will very likely take a year of my time to have everything functioning as it should, and the ministry fully operational. I’ve also already got nearly six months tied up in this endeavor, which I won’t be compensated for.  ($50k yr)
